For customers who are unable to visit our headquarters in the Netherlands, we also offer this Volvo T6 chiptuning as a remote service. Due to differences between models and ECU software versions, compatibility must be verified before ordering. Please submit an order including your vehicle’s VIN. Bespoke tuning for your locked Volvo
From approximately 2018 onwards, Volvo T6 Twin Engine models were equipped with a Denso VEA ECU featuring a new generation Freescale processor. This ECU has traditionally been considered extremely difficult to access and reprogram. NRS has developed an exclusive solution that enables full ECU software reprogramming on supported vehicles. Unlike a powerbox or external tuning device that manipulates sensor signals, our solution provides a fully custom ECU calibration. The original OEM control and protection strategies remain integrated into the calibration, resulting in a refined and responsive tuning solution for your Volvo T6. The result is a substantial improvement in engine power, torque delivery, throttle response and overall driving experience.

Installation procedure
The installation of the replacement ECM is straightforward and can be performed by yourself or by a qualified local workshop. Once the replacement ECM has been installed, we will connect to your vehicle remotely to complete the ECU programming and installation of the NRS tuning software.
For the remote installation, you will need:
- A Windows laptop
- An Ethernet to OBD cable
- A stable internet connection
Our technician will guide you through the process and complete the programming remotely.
Volvo T6 tuning results
Our custom ECU tuning is the result of extensive R&D, development testing and data logging using dedicated development vehicles. Unlike off-the-shelf software our calibrations are specifically developed and optimised for the Volvo T6 Twin Engine petrol (US) platform. Extensive testing under different driving conditions and with different fuel qualities allows us to achieve a balance between performance, drivability and reliability.
